"MY OLD MAN SAID TO ME
IT'S NOT WHO BUT WHAT YOU KNOW
AND KNOWLEDGE ISN'T WISDOM WITHOUT CONTROL
BETTER STILL TO BE THE CHANGES THAT YOU WANNA SEE
BUT THEY COME SLOW, I KNOW..."

BOOK 1: THE BEGINNING
My name is Akio Pyralis and I am fourteen years old. My family is from the Fire Nation, which means I am a firebender by blood. I currently reside in the United Republic of Nations. I live with my mom, dad, sisters, and my pet messenger hawk, Tupac. For extra money of my own I work part-time as a delivery boy and it beats working in fast food.
People who know me say that I can be a little impetuous, but I make up for that because I am clever. When faced with a problem I think on my feet and move on. If I see someone in distress I immediately rescue the person in trouble. Love is a very touchy subject for me because I am open to relationships but have never had one. I dream to some day be a great hero and fulfill it by living living each day as if it were my last.
My story is just beginning . . . .

BOOK 2: THE HISTORY
My character is played by Protagonist from Eiyuu Senki. This character uses a sword to punish enemies. Besides having the ability to firebend, my character can also redirect lightning.
Here is my story so far . . . .
It took a long time before all that spiritual stuff my family preached to me growing up started to sink in. All I cared about was action and things that were physically real. I enjoyed sword fighting and science equally. Yet as much as I honestly tried, all that meditating stuff just never clicked. I knew I was letting down my family line, but I couldn’t help it. It just wasn't me. Then my sister became the new Avatar. It’s kinda hard to ignore that sort of spiritual reckoning. Even then, nothing really changed until she moved back to the city while training at Air Temple Island. Leyna's always been a down-to-earth person at the same time her head is in the clouds. Don't ask me how, she just is. Anyway, she likes to keep things normal through all this Avatar stuff and so sometimes she'd bring me or Sulwyn along to watch her train like it was ballet lessons or something. It was when we were hanging out there that I met Arlo Akili.
Now I can’t speak for everyone, but I honestly think this dude could convince anybody to be spiritual without even trying. Seriously. My own family couldn’t do it, but this guy opened my eyes. To be fair, though, his great-grandfather was the Avatar before my sister. So there’s a good chance he inherited the ability to get through to people like that. And if his great-grandfather is in my sister, that kinda makes us related. I think… You know what? Nevermind. Point is, Arlo’s my bro. He’s always there for me and he’s the most patient person I’ve ever met. He never lectures me or anything like my family does. Arlo just listens to what I have to say and then gives this advice that just… it hits you like a ton of bricks. I guess that’s what you get when you mix an Air Acolyte with an earthbender.
To hang out with Arlo, I had to start spending more time at the Air Temple where he’s training to be an Air Acolyte like his dad. I don’t know if it’s the incense they’ve got burning in there or just the totally laid back atmosphere, but that spiritual stuff my family had been harping on me all those years just finally clicked. I’m not saying I want to be an Air Acolyte or even a Fire Sage like most of my family, but at least I get it now. And it really helped my firebending too. After a couple of years I was able to redirect lightning for the first time. I can’t generate it yet, though.
Being a teenager in Republic City is probably the best thing ever. But unfortunately, yuans make the world go ‘round. And my parents, though not hard on money, aren’t gonna hand it out to us without good reason. They pay for my pro-bending but that’s it. We have to learn to be responsible and provide for ourselves, yadda, yadda, yadda. So I went and got a part-time job as a delivery boy at the local newspaper. After I saved up enough money, I bought myself the most b/a looking messenger hawk this side of the Fire Nation. With the two of us working on delivery, I get done twice as fast. That means more time for sword fighting, inventing, pro-bending, and hanging out with Arlo.
It’s not all fun and games, though. I also have to help out at home a lot. Especially when my mom is busy with the Council or my dad is out on business. As much as I hate it, I’m good about doing chores and stuff. Well, at least when I remember to do them. Not so good at handling Teryl the Terrible. I’m happy to leave that to Leyna. It’s her job to bring harmony to people anyway. Naturally Arlo’s pretty good at it too, but he’s not over very much. Don’t get me wrong, I love my little sister and I know she needs help. It’s just that she doesn’t really respond well to me when she’s having an episode. Luckily it’s not as bad as it used to be. And Berdine has been warming up to me ever since I started spending time at the Air Temple. Even so, I try to steer clear when Teryl’s around. Let’s just say we do not mix well. It’s like watching two komodo rhinos battle it out. Not pretty. Plus I feel bad because I know it’s not Sulwyn’s fault.
Right now my focus is kinda split in five different directions. When I was younger, it wasn’t a big deal. Now that I’m getting older, though, I need to start focusing on what I want in life. Pretty deep stuff, right? Yeah, that didn’t used to be my style. Again, I think it’s that spiritual side of me kicking in. Whatever the reason, I’m starting to think of what I want for my future. I love pro-bending, so maybe I could go professional. Yet I also love weapon fighting and I kinda dig the idea of joining the Fire Nation military or the United Forces. But I’m also really smart and could probably make a lot of money by going into science and technology. I dunno what to do yet. No matter what it is, though, I’m definitely gonna have fun with it and nothing is gonna stand in my way!
