cave of two lovers Also known as the Secret Tunnel, it is a series of caverns which pass underneath a section of the Kolau mountain range near Omashu. Legends say that the tunnels were created by Oma and Shu, who fell in love despite being from enemy villages. They are believed to have been the first earthbenders, and created the passage between their villages to meet secretly. |

omashu The second largest city in the Earth Kingdom and the capital of one of its provinces. The gates of this bustling metropolis are guarded by an army of earthbenders. This city is also well-known for its famous delivery system powered by a combination of earthbending and gravity. The tall mountain peak on which Omashu was founded rises high out of a deep chasm. Being built on this mountain provides the city with one of its best defenses; the only way to reach the gates of Omashu is across a long narrow bridge of stone that spans the sheer gorge. |
